Task 4: Create and justify a planned animation (M3, D2)

  M3:   Optimise the content for use in the final animation   When exporting my animation I decided to export it to a .mp4 file.  Even though this file isn’t as big as a .mov, as I decided to use this format I was able to conduct an animation with good file compression.  One reason why I decided to export my file to this is due to it not losing image or sound quality whilst exporting.  Furthermore, as a .mp4 format reduces download and uploads time, and this is significantly quicker, and easier to be shared, this is beneficial as this allows my animation to reach a wider target audience as it is able to be sent to various platforms easily.  As a .mp4 file is easy to share, this results in viewers being able to see the animation around, leading to positive word of mouth and therefore reaching a wider target audience.  By exporting my animation to a .mp4 file type I have the opportunity to use any social network or on the internet.  This is be...

Learning Outcome 3:  Be able to create a planned animation  P5:  Create the content for the animation Characters: W hen choosing the characters for my stop motion animation the easiest decision which was made was to choose to use toy animated characters that allow their limbs to move, in a similar form to ours.   Initially, when choosing my animated characters their arms and legs didn’t move, therefore couldn’t be used.   Ensuring their arms and legs move, allows the shots to flow nicely into one another, as well as allowing that the characters look as lifelike as possible, and allowing them to look less mechanical.   Furthermore, when choosing the characters for the zombies, I bought wooden blocks, and by using paint and pens to colour in and draw zombie features on their bodies such as the blood from their eyes.   By painting the wooden blocks creates a realistic zombie which would be used within the animation.   Backplates: When printed these ...

Task 2: Planning An Animation (P3, P4, M2)

Learning Outcome 2:  Be able to plan an animation to a client brief P3:  Develop concept ideas and sequences for an animation to meet a client brief Moodboard: Below is my mood-board, which is showing a variation of photographs and images of characters and locations which inspired the planning of animation.  The colours used signifies the horror and disturbance the characters will feel when they see the zombie.  The mood-board is showing images of Leicester Square during the day and night, whilst showing a variety of chapters which might be used in my filming. Character sketches: There are my character's sketches which are of a family.  These characters are one of the main components of my filming.  By annotating the chapters I was able to create a clear idea to the audience of what the characters will look like within the film.
